Cathedral Cars was founded in 2013 with a single mission: to make buying a quality used car a genuinely enjoyable experience. Too many people had been burned by hidden fees, undisclosed faults, and pushy salespeople — we set out to do things differently.
Based in the heart of the UK, we have grown from a small family operation to one of the region's most trusted independent dealerships, with over 200 vehicles in stock at any one time and thousands of happy customers across the country.
Every single car we sell is hand-picked, multi-point inspected, HPI checked, and prepared to a standard we're genuinely proud of. We don't cut corners — because our reputation depends on every car we sell.

How We Got Here
2013
Cathedral Cars Founded
James Harrison started Cathedral Cars with 12 cars and a passion for honest, quality car sales. The first sale was a 2009 Ford Focus — still remembered fondly.
2016
Expanded to 100+ Cars
Growing demand led to a full forecourt expansion. We hit 100 cars in stock and added a dedicated workshop for in-house inspections.
2019
Finance & Part Exchange Launch
We partnered with leading lenders to offer flexible finance on all vehicles, and launched our industry-leading part exchange valuation service.
2021
UK-Wide Home Delivery
We launched home delivery across the UK, allowing customers to buy with confidence from anywhere in the country with free 7-day returns.
2024
200+ Cars & 5,000 Customers
